Taming the Zebra
Taming the Zebra is a painting about Wiley and his wayward attempts to seek enlightenment, perfection, and Truth. It is known that zebras cannot be tamed, and this image represents the near-impossible task of achieving enlightenment, although efforts are made nonetheless. The zebra lies stubbornly on its back, firmly anchored to this earth-bound state, while the horses above spiral skyward and are meant to transition gradually from duality into oneness and a final divinity.
